It can certainly be said that Maria Klokkou is a lover of life.

As she continues to battle breast cancer, Maria maintains her love of gardening and painting while doing all that she can to give back to those who have supported her during her fight.

In October of 2005, Maria's "Pink Poppy" painting was chosen as the official logo for the Life After Breast Cancer Society's annual convention and was featured on advertising, brochures and signage related to the event.

The "Pink Poppy" was also featured on a t-shirt above the words "Love Life." All proceeds ($20 each), go to supporting the fight against breast cancer. You can purchase the "Pink Poppy" t-shirts by contacting Romney House Gallery.
